About Good Ancestors New Zealand

Good Ancestors New Zealand is an independent, not-for-profit policy organisation based in Wellington. Our current focus is the most serious risks from advanced AI, from scams and cyberattacks today to the loss of human control over more capable systems.

Our risk and policy papers set out practical steps the Government can take now, including a New Zealand AI Safety Institute and mandatory reporting of AI incidents.
